They understand how to adapt curriculum, use multi-sensory teaching tools, and use positive behavior support strategies.

Absolutely. In fact, we highly encourage you to share your child’s IEP or 504 plan with us. We use these documents as a roadmap to ensure our tutoring sessions align perfectly with the accommodations, modifications, and goals your child’s school team has already established. Also, if you need help understanding your child’s IEP we are here to help.

We entirely expect and understand that some days are harder than others. Our tutors are trained to read emotional cues, recognize sensory overload, and pivot the lesson. If a student needs a sensory break, a change of pace, or a gentle pause, we take it. We meet your child exactly where they are at on any given day. Our priority is to ensure your child has a stress free, interactive & positive experience with a desire to continue learning.
-
Yes, especially during the first few sessions! We view parents as our vital partners. While our goal is to build your child's independence over time, we welcome you to observe or stay close by to help your child feel secure and to see the strategies our tutors use.
-
We know that flexibility is crucial for special needs families. While our standard policy requires 24 hours notice for routine scheduling changes, we handle emergencies, medical appointments, and sudden, severe sensory/behavioral flare-ups with grace. Contact us as soon as possible, and we will work with you to reschedule.
-
We begin with a free Intake Consultation. This is a casual, no-pressure conversation where we discuss your child's strengths, triggers, interests, and goals. From there, we create a customized learning plan and match them with a tutor who fits their unique personality and needs.
